My Final Year Project Title

Title : Hall Effect Measurements of the Thin Films Coated with Colloidal Magnetic Particles

Supervisor : DR. Lim Weng Lee

Objective : To investigate the Hall effect in thin films coated with colloidal magnetic particles

Description :

A colloid is basically a chemical mixture in which one type of substance is dispersed almost evenly throughout other substances. In this project, metallic films or non-magnetic semiconducting thin films are coated with colloidal magnetic particles from ferrofluids (or other Ni/Co-based aqueous solution) by using a spinner. The surfactants such as Tetramethylammonium hydroxide or soy lecithin will be used to prepare the films in oder to avoid agglomeration of particles. A procedure to prepare the films with various densities of colloidal magnetic particles will be conducted and the Hall effect measurement on those films will be performed to study their magnetic properties.

Remarks :

Student will learn to handle wet chemicals, spin-coating, curing, and Hall Effect setup. The students are expected to be very vigilant and careful in carrying out laboratory work.

The End of My Internship

woo hoo......... finally finish my Internship ! The 16 weeks equivalent to 4 months, and equivalent to 114 days of my internship at I-Protocol Ventures Sdn. Bhd., finally came to the end. This 4 months, wake up early morning at 7.30am and prepare everything, after that drive the car to work in the traffic jam situation [ not really la]. Luckily there is a radio station MY FM "皇宫灿烂" accompany with me in the entire journey to my office, so that I had the right mood when step into office.

Nothing much I want comment about my internship life in this post, wait for my coming post~~~ The thing happening in my internship. Check back ya.

I would like to thank very much those peoples in I-Protocol Ventures Sdn Bhd, which help me a lot  and also some knowledge sharing. Thanks.

Now is time to take a good rest and holiday for one month. At the same time prepare the Internship Report, Log Book, Presentation Slide and deciding the final year project title, time's to get headache!)

After that is my 2 more semester to go for my University life, 3 more subject, and a FYP( final year project) Part1 & Part 2. Bless me.

After one month of launching, the 15Malaysia had finish launch all the 15 short films. The 15 short films is totally produce by 15 Malaysian filmmakers.

The 15 shot films is describe about the Malaysia current issues, culture, social-political, and some problem face by the Malaysian. The short film also involve some famous actors, political leaders ( Liaw Tiong Lai, Khairy Jamalludin, Nik Aziz ) , musician (namewee), and some best know face in the Malaysia.

Internship Salary + Bonus

Today get my third month internship salary. Normally the allowance for one month is RM 300, but this month boss give an extra bonus for all the internship student. Not bad, we got extra RM 200 mean we get total RM 500. Thanks so much.

09/09/2009 is a special date ? You can hear from radio say that a lot couple will going for their married and registration bla ...... bla...... bla. But as usual, I will go to work at the early morning. When going to reach my office, I had stopped by the police. Than I open up the car window.

Police: Bang, plak kereta kabur la........bagi I/C

Khin: Apa !!! Ini pun kena....!!!

Police: Ya.......

Khin: Ok, tak pa ..... you tulis ......you tulis!!! (use the hand, and show to the saman receipt to ask him write)

Police: Ok, bang........

Khin: ( Take the saman receipt and drive away)

The receipt didn't mention how much that I need to pay. This is my early morning of 090909 with the bad thing happened. But at least I done something great, never feed the police with the money. Let them poor and poor..........  forever!!!

Than when lunch time, I'm go to the Sri Petaling Toto and Magnum buy number. In the end cost me up total RM 8.00
